Cressida Beale is a Visual Artist and Architect, living and working in Melbourne.
Widely travelled, Cressida Beale draws inspiration from diverse and eclectic influences. Her career in architecture has reinforced a passion and commitment to interpreting the landscape and shaped the way she paints.
Prior to embarking on painting full time Cressida’s Architectural career has provided a diverse range of experiences covering a range of building typologies, geographies and architectural practices. Highlights include numerous awards for buildings and competition submissions. Equally as rewarding, her involvement in pro bono projects one of special importance a Community Centre in Malawi Africa for the NGO FOCHTA.

Her connections within architecture have fuel her success over the past year with various commissions for both private and corporate clients challenging her to explore new territory with great success.
Moving from Sydney to Melbourne, Cressida work in this exhibition is inspired by the edges between land and water- a shifting view- sometime colourful and joyous other times black on white .Her works reflect a movement of scales , perspective , light and texture. Her emergent body of work is vibrant , varied and intriguing.
