Nesti Dante
The company was founded by Dante Nesti in Florence in 1947. It remains a family business, now run by the second and third generations of the Nesti family.
What makes the brand particularly appealing is that it still manufactures its soap in Florence using the traditional cauldron saponification method. The oils are slowly cooked for several days and the soap is then triple milled, producing a smooth, dense bar that lasts well and holds its fragrance.
The company says its natural soaps use high-quality whole vegetable oils and are free from sulphates, parabens, synthetic surfactants, mineral oils and EDTA. They are also vegan friendly, with no animal-derived ingredients, and the packaging is recyclable/plastic-free.
